Syracuse, NY – TheSafe and Sound with Amaya Foundation, headquartered in Syracuse, NY is
excited to announce their third annualSafety Expo and Butterfly Release at Ryder Park in Dewitt, June 7th 11am-1pm Children and adults will learn about the hazards that lie in and around their homes, and how to prevent accidents and injuries from happening. Safety stations will be set up around the park, manned by organizations such as – The Dewitt Police and Fire Departments;Onondaga County Sherriff’s Department; Poison Control Center; YMCA; Golisano Children’s Hospital; Safe and Sound with Amaya and more! There will be food, refreshments, face painting, entertainment by Magical John, music and a wonderful release of over 300 butterflies, to symbolize and celebrate life. About Safe and Sound with Amaya – The foundation was created in 2012 by Scott and Deborah Deming following the death of their two year old granddaughter, Amaya Lynne Beaudreault, who was crushed and killed instantly when a 32” tube style television fell on top of her. Safe and Sound with Amaya is a non-profit organization that reaches out to parents, grandparents and caretakers of children and toddlers in an effort to help educate anyone caring for a child about the hazards of tip over accidents.
